New issue of JoGG

The Spring 2008 issue of the internet Journal of Genetic Genealogy is now available. Contents include a review article called "Where Did European Men Come From" by Kalevi Wiik. Some of the dates and inferences contained in the article are no doubt questionable. But these maps are hard to argue with:

  1. Indeed, it's difficult to argue with the fact that Northern and Central Europeans have much lower levels of "Neolithic" ancestry than Southern Europeans, and that N3 is associated with Northeastern Europe.

  2. Germans and Austrians have higher levels of E3b than other Germanic peoples, and N3 (which comes from Mongolia) is high in parts of Sweden.
